Nigerian Dwarf Goats

The Nigerian Dwarf goat is a miniature dairy goat breed of West African ancestry. These small and mighty milkers give a surprising quantity of milk for their size. Their production ranges from 1 to 8 pounds of milk per day, with an average of 2.5 pounds. Their milk has a higher butterfat content than milk from full-sized dairy goats, usually about 5%, but going as high as 10% at the end of a lactation. This makes Nigerian Dwarf goat milk excellent for cheese and soap making.

Chickens & Eggs

Coop DeVille, the Chicken Cadillac. We built a frame on an old trailer, with a mesh bottom to let the “fertilizer” fall through, equipped with nesting boxes, grain boxes, roosts, and water system.

The hens are moved around the farm property to eat weeds, grasses, and bugs. We provide them with lots of fresh goodies from the garden and non-medicated feed.
